Valentine’s got me thinking about all of the things I love about working with flowers. Since I didn’t start this blog until recently I want to share some of my favorite past arrangements.
This was actually the place card table arrangement for my wedding. I wanted something large and dramatic, so I clustered pedestal vases together and filled them with sprays of long white hawaiian dendrobium orchids, orange buffalo mokara orchids, sword fern and hanging amaranthus.
This wedding was near and dear to my heart. Stephanie worked for me at the flower shop when she was in college and I remember when she first went out with Steve. I was lucky enough to see them grow as a couple over the years and I can honestly say they are perfect for each other. When they got engaged I was so excited she asked me to do the flowers. I was even more excited when she told me the reception was going to be at Cairnwood. Stephanie has impeccable taste so I knew I was going to have some fun! Details are below.
Her inspiration: vintage milk glass to match the mansion’s setting
Her colors: green and ivory with a pop of raspberry against accents of gray/silver
Her favorite flowers: orchids, calla lilies, garden roses and hydrangea
Her other fabulous vendors I got to work with: Ryan Schwartz Wedding Photography & Robert Fair Catering
A beautiful view of Cairnwood from the grounds.
